Painting Local Views and locally inspired subjects: If you have acquired the skill and ability to paint to a high standard, with attractive style, you are virtually certain to be able to sell LOCAL scenes in any area of outstanding beauty or visual interest. Salience – This occurs when music becomes the single most important activity in the person’s life and dominates their thinking (preoccupations and cognitive distortions), feelings (cravings) and behaviour (deterioration of socialised behaviour). For instance, even if the person is not actually listening to music they will be constantly thinking about the next time that they will be (i.e., a total preoccupation with music). Inada, M. (2007). The financial empires associated with the electrification of North America used symmetrical mathematics to acquire vast wealth because they found that symmetrical mathematics generated 25{665e5bb4999eb4b63bc5cf86855959e213eef9597fcb7384ae9a16de7fc2db97} more profit than asymmetrical mathematics. To this day, the global economic system classifies asymmetrical or living electromagnetic mathematics as a plague. Tribal economic science must, at all times, reduce asymmetrical mathematical equations to meaninglessness, thereby negating the uniqueness of biological systems and ensuring that the mathematical basis of The Art of War reigns supreme. Ann Blood, Ph.D., Robert Zatorre, Ph.D., and their colleagues at the Montreal Neurological Institute investigated the brain mechanisms involved in emotional responses to music. They found that regions previously identified with pleasant or unpleasant emotional states (with the exception of fear) were activated in the para-limbic brain regions, rather than areas normally associated with music perception. Studies like this reinforce the concept of musical processing as a whole brain” phenomenon. With the proper musical cue, we may gain access to another system, with enough overlap to jump-start similar areas that are now dysfunctional. That is, when higher cortical processing is compromised, there may be another way into the brain.
Musical instrument classification is a discipline in its own right, and many systems of classification have been used over the years. Instruments can be classified by their effective range, their material composition, their size, etc. However, the most common academic method, Hornbostel-Sachs, uses the means by which they produce sound. The academic study of musical instruments is called organology. Whitney Museum of American Art, New York. Annual Exhibition of Paintings by Artists under Forty. 12 November – 30 December 1941. A meta analysis on music for premature infants indicated statistically significant effects, especially for positive physiological responses, decreased length of hospitalization (LOH), weight gain, feeding, and decreased stress responses (Standley, 2003). All studies in the meta-analysis had positive effect sizes (Cohen’s d ranged from46 to 1.95). Without offering final proof, these studies suggest that music may help the heart and circulation as well as the brain and mind. But how? Slowing the heart rate, lowering blood pressure, and reducing levels of stress hormones are likely explanations, and research presents another possibility. Scientists studied arterial function and blood flow in 10 healthy volunteers before, during, and after the subjects listened to various types of music, watched humorous videos, or listened to relaxation tapes. Joyful music produced a 26{665e5bb4999eb4b63bc5cf86855959e213eef9597fcb7384ae9a16de7fc2db97} increase in blood flow, a benefit similar to aerobic exercise or statin therapy and well ahead of laughter (19{665e5bb4999eb4b63bc5cf86855959e213eef9597fcb7384ae9a16de7fc2db97} increase) and relaxation (11{665e5bb4999eb4b63bc5cf86855959e213eef9597fcb7384ae9a16de7fc2db97}). But the power of music can work both ways; selections that triggered anxiety in the listeners produced a 6{665e5bb4999eb4b63bc5cf86855959e213eef9597fcb7384ae9a16de7fc2db97} decrease in blood flow. 9.
