Nigerian multi-award winning artiste, David ‘Davido’ Adeleke has expressed his delight on the little victories so far on the ongoing issue #EndSARS.

Davido who met with the speaker of the house of Representatives of Nigeria “Olufemi Gbajabiamila”, on the 12th of October 2020 to discuss the demands of Nigerians on the controversial Police unit “SARS”, tweeted his delight on the little victories so far on the 13th of October 2020. In his words:

Nigerian superstar, Davido clarifies protest remarks made to Deputy Commissioner of Police and PRO, Frank Mba.

The DMW boss held a meeting with the Police force PRO on the 12th of October 2020 and he was spotted in a live video saying the following:

I didn’t protest, I only went there to calm my fans down

That remark didn’t sit well with Nigerians, with people disapproving of his visit and debunking his supposed representation of Nigerians on the matter #EndSARS.

Nevertheless, Davido had to clarify his remarks to concerned Nigerians via a one-page document that partly reads:

I want to make it clear that I never went there to deny protesting. My comments were taken out of context. I was trying to say that I was not at the protest to cause trouble or fight as you can hear me say in the video. But rather I

Several international artists such as Kranium, Chance the rapper, Lil baby and others joined the ‘#EndSARS’ social media campaign trending worldwide.

The #EndSARS campaign has gone beyond Nigeria to other countries of the world, with some international celebrities using their social media platforms to further push for the ban of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad “SARS” in Nigeria.

Social media has been buzzing endlessly with the hashtag “EndSARS”, and some international musicians such as Kranium, Chance the rapper, Lil baby, City girls, and others, joined in the campaign yesterday 9th of October 2020.

This clamour for change in Nigeria has gone beyond its borders as international artiste all over the world are speaking up and joining the movement. Some important figures in the music industry in the diaspora have taking to their social media pages mostly recorded yesterday the 9th of October, 2020. They came forward to spread love and peace to the country as it protests police brutality.

Nigerian musician, actor, and politician, Olubankole ‘Banky W’ Wellington, commends Protestants who are clamoring for the banning of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad “SARS”.

The ban hasn’t been made effective yet, despite the uproar of Nigerian youths clamoring for the abolition of “SARS”.

Many Nigerians are pushing the social media campaign ‘#EndSARS’ on social media, with some, participating in a 2-day nationwide protest across the country to influence the ban.

On Friday the 9th of October 2020, Banky W took to social media to commend everyone who participated in the peaceful #EndSARS protest so far.
