Veteran music producer turned blogger, Samklef has made a bold claim regarding being the creator of the Afrobeats sound.

Samklef took to his social page in the early hours of the 7th of March 2021 to lay claim to being the creator of Afrobeats and also stating he is one of the reasons the music genre has gone international. The music producer declared that he should be respected while he’s alive. He tweeted;

“I’m one of the reason why afrobeats is international today. I created the sound. Respect me. I still dey alive.”

Multi Award winning Soul Singer, Nikki Laoye has released the Live version of her hit single, None + You = Me.

Recorded Live at IconTowers Media Studios UK for the Valentine’s Night of Love Songs Virtual Concert, Nikki Laoye was beautifully accompanied by the Usual Suspects band as they delivered an unforgettable performance of the classic soul single.

Speaking about the Live Recording, Nikki shares: “It’s been over 10 years since I performed this song live at any event so I was super excited to share the live expression of this forever special song once again.

Interestingly, Burna Boy’s name has also been thrown into the conversation due to his part in the official theme song for ‘Coming To America 2’.

Nigerian Grammy-nominated singer, Burna Boy alongside American R&B megastar, John Legend and Nile Rodgers recorded the theme song for ‘Coming To America 2’.
