Kennison is a native of New Orleans who survived eight long days with his neighbors in the toxic flood waters from Hurricane Katrina and like so many survivors, lost everything on that traumatic first day. Following his rescue and much confusion Kennison was sent to Albuquerque. Since his arrival in September of 2006, he has been continually denied assistance from FEMA.
