Vector Art is a technique, which means art created with vector-based programs. picplzthumbs Born on the South Coast of England, in Hove, East Sussex, in 1865, Robert Bevan was fortunate enough to be able to study and work in Paris during his early years as an artist, and he knew both Gaugin and Renoir, and studied alongside Pierre Bonnard. This early exposure to the works of the great French Impressionists helped Bevan to develop a very distinctive personal style of painting. Unfortunately, just like Van Gogh and Rousseau, Bevan’s work was not always well appreciated in his life-time. However, a series of retrospective exhibitions held in 1965, 100 years after his birth revealed his extraordinary talent, and many of his paintings can now be seen at the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford, as part of the Bevan Gift, a donation made by Robert Bevan’s children.

I read your comment and the part where you said Y chromosomes might be going extinct well that is kind of true and kind of not true. They have found recent evidence that both X and Y chromosomes in primates specifically humans (and humans are primates if you beleive in human evolution) are somehow becoming weaker and that in about 4 million years time primates will have developed a new way of determining gender. Look up Y chromosome on wikipedia if you dont beleive me. Now we all know how modern western culture celebrates women and femininity as superior and more precious than men and masculinity. picplzthumbs The vector file contains different elements that are referred to as “objects”. Each one of these objects has it’s own properties and settings. These could be size, shape, color as well as the exact position on the screen that it appears. The benefit of working with objects is that they can be moved around and edited independently and still retain all of their other properties and settings. This also does not effect the other objects nearby too. Unlike Photoshop, which often distorts items as they are resized or altered, a vector based program like Illustrator lets you work with all of the objects without losing any clarity or quality of the image. When an image is created in Illustrator, it is made by placing points on the screen which are then connected by lines to form shapes. The start and end points are called anchor points and the points in-between that create the curve or surface shape are called vector points.

The best method of T-shirt printing is Silk Screening. Silk screening consists of ink being pressed through templates called screens and applied directly to the T-shirt. This process is done once per color, so if your T-shirt has 3 colors, it must pass through 3 color screens. Once all colors have been screened on, the T-shirt passes through an oven of sorts where the ink dries and becomes permanent. Since inks are applied individually, the silk screen process requires vector graphics with a pre-determined number of colors. Usually no more than 4 colors otherwise your T-shirt would take way to long to produce and your production costs would go up considerably. Silk screening is also the best method for mass production since large printing companies have large silk screen machines that can produce many shirts in sequence.

Comparing this museum is like comparing apples and oranges with the Chicago Natural History Museum. This gives great ease in editing as objects can easily be manipulated in regards to their shape and overall dimensions. A song that talks of an ex-athlete who is no longer at the top of his game, “Glory Days” doesn’t intend to make us regret past moments; it intends to make us remember them as they happen.
