However, people with heart disease often face significant fears and psychological barriers as they try to establish an exercise routine following heart attack (Rogerson, Murphy, Bird, & Morris, 2012). As discussed earlier, listening to music during exercise can support emotional and physical health, and may assist people with heart disease to lead more physically active lives (Clark et al., 2016).
